Art Affair is a private organization sponsored by Barbara Shepherd of Oklahoma City, OK, to encourage writers of Poetry, Short Stories and, especially, Western Short Stories, to work at their trade and be recognized and rewarded for their efforts. To accomplish that goal, Art Affair holds three annual contests--one for poets, one for western short story writers, and a contest for general short fiction writers.
 
$3 ENTRY FEE
Art Affair's poetry contest is open to any writer. Poems may be any style, any subject,and no more than 60 lines in length.
Deadline is October 1, 2009. Prizes: $40, $25, and $15.
 
$5 ENTRY FEE
Art Affair's Western Short Story contest is open to any writer. Stories may be up to 5,000 words. Deadline is October 1, 2009. Prizes: $50, $25, and $15.
 
$5 ENTRY FEE
Art Afffair's General Short Story contest is open to any writer. Stories may be up to 5,000 words. Deadline is October 1, 2009. Prizes: $50, $25, and $15.
