Deadline October 18. Cancer Connection, the cancer support center of Hampshire and Franklin Counties in Western Massachusetts, seeks submissions of poetry and short prose by writers in the Pioneer Valley for "Contemplation", a personal journal for patients and their families that will offer hope and inspiration during their cancer journey. It will also be available for purchase by the general public as a fundraiser. The journal will include original writing, nature photography by Keith Carver, and blank pages for the user's own reflections. Previously published work accepted if you own the rights. Poetry should be 25 lines or fewer, including stanza breaks, and lines should be 60 characters maximum. Prose should be 300 words maximum. Email entries to ruralarts@verizon.net  or mail to CC Journal Project, P.O. Box 54, Shelburne Falls, MA 01370.
