Dream of Things: Coffee Shop Stories

Posted by Sally Clark on Monday, March 15, 2010 Under: Nonfiction Anthology

Call for submissions: Dream of Things plans to publish an anthology of coffee shop stories, and we want to include YOUR story! It could be something that happened to you in a coffee shop, or it could be something you witnessed. It might be about the customers, or it might be about the employees. Maybe it involves a mix-up when one person picks up somebody else's Triple Venti Soy White Mocha by mistake. Or maybe it's simply about the camaraderie of two people getting a cup of Joe before they go to work. I've witnessed sales pitches, flirtatious encounters, job interviews, quarrelling couples, tutoring sessions, Internet dates (which are sort of like sales pitches), tax preparation and much more -- and all of that was last Saturday!

Tell us your coffee shop story. Review our submission guidelines and payment information on the Dream of Things Workshop page, and then send your story to editor@dreamofthings.com
