East
Texas Baptist University
Marshall, Texas 75670

21 presenters including several agents and editors, among them is author Don Piper.

CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS include experiences for beginning writers, as well as those with all levels of experience.  There will be workshops dealing with writing novels, short stories, columns, newspaper articles, non-fiction, biography, poetry, children’s books, children’s stories, travel articles, magazine articles, editorials, young adult materials. In addition to these workshops, there will be publishers, literary and devotional editors, literary agents and many experienced authors.  A major advantage of this conference is the opportunity to “network” and relate to writers at all levels of experience.

Registered attendees at the conference may arrange one-on-one interviews with an agent or editor during the conference. These will be made on a "first come, first served" basis as time slots are available. If you ask for a slot when you register, your name will be higher on the list of available times. If you register and pay your fees by
October 18, 2013 you may submit a writing sample to be read by an author, agent or editor before the conference. Your writing sample can become the basis for your personal interview. There is no charge for the personal consultation with the authors and editors.

COST
: $90 before October 21, 2013; after October 21, $100.  The pre-conference workshops on Friday afternoon will be $45 (before October 21, after October 21, $50) for two full hours of hands-on writing experiences.
