FACES - Happy New Year Celebrations Around the Globe

Posted by Sally Clark on Tuesday, January 13, 2015
FACES: World Cultures magazine for grades 5-9

Faces takes readers where no other publication goes. Around the world and back, young readers get an honest and unbiased view of how people in other countries and world regions live. From the clothes they wear to the foods they eat, readers get a glimpse into the way their peers live. Each issue takes readers to a different country or region, or explores a topic of global importance. Lively, original approaches to the subject are the primary concerns of the editors of FACES in choosing material. Writers are encouraged to study recent past copies for content and style. All material must relate to the theme of a specific upcoming edition in order to be considered. FACES purchases all rights to material. Fiction, nonfiction, activities, puzzles, games.

Theme: Happy New Year: Celebrations Around the Globe
Publication date – Jan. 2016
Deadline for queries – Feb. 3, 2015
