Focus on the Family Magazine: Christmas Surprises

Topic: What did you do this year to add a dash of fun to your holiday season while still keeping Jesus the point of the holiday? Please read "Baby Jesus" and "Christmas Activities" to get the feel for the type of articles we want and to not repeat articles we already have. "Hacks & Facts" articles are not the place to showcase your voice as a writer. Also, lectures aren't encouraged. Instead concentrate on a hands-on-practical parenting tip that others can apply once they've read it. The point is the tip.

Word count: 50 to 200 words
Rights: First nonexclusive rights
Payment: $50, on acceptance
Due date: January 7, 2018
Byline: Yes — whether in print or online
Audience: Parents with children in the home
