Hallmark Cards: A Very Tacky Christmas

Posted by Sally Clark on Saturday, March 17, 2012 Under: Greeting Cards

Hallmark Cards: A Very Tacky Christmas
http://www.hallmarkcontests.com/page/CONTESTS/contest/AVeryTackyChristmas/

Sometimes the holidays don’t go exactly as planned. Your challenge is to create a funny holiday card featuring your less-than-picture-perfect yuletide moments. Maybe it’s a kitschy homemade gift, a holiday food disaster, some gaudy decor, or tacky Christmas fashions.

Use a photo* with your original writing to make a holiday card that could be sent to anyone. (Photos only this time—save those great illustrations for another contest!)

*Remember, if something in your photo has a recognizable shape or design, it’s probably copyrighted, and we can’t use it (like an ornament, a sweater pattern, or a TV or movie character). If we REALLY love your idea, we might use our photo magic to make it work, but please be careful and check out the legal section of our tips page. Besides, our favorite things are those you made yourself or someone made for you!

You have three tries to win this contest, so you better get started.

Looking for some advice? Look at our idea starters, visit our page, or check out our TIPS section.
