Iron Horse Literary Review:

a review of fiction, poetry, & creative nonfiction

http://ironhorsereview.com/submission_information

In 1999, Texas Tech University founded Iron Horse Literary Review in order to bring the literary arts to West Texas, which did not, at the time, have a national print venue for creative writing. We wanted an inexpensive way to bring America’s most respected poets, storytellers, and essayists to serious readers living in the remote panhandle. And that’s what we did.

We respond specifically to every manuscript we receive, sending short but personalized letters explaining why we are not accepting a manuscript when we don’t. Upon publication, we provide an honorarium of $40 per poem or short-short and $100 per story or essay. For our National Poetry Month Issue (annual) Poetry issue, please submit poems only from October 1, 2012 to October 26, 2012. There is a $2 submission fee for submitting ? poems.
