The Bay Area Writers League is now accepting submissions for the 2010 Anthology.

Submission Guidelines
Use Standard Manuscript Guidelines. Entries must be typed, double spaced with one inch margins using either Times New Roman 12 point or Courier 10 point font. Please send a printed copy to P.O. Box 580007 , Houston , TX 77058   AND  to anthology@bawl.org using Word 2003 or 2007 only.

Theme
Write to the theme of Life Around Galveston Bay.  Previously written works changed to fit this theme will likely be spotted and will not be accepted.

Works accepted

  • Poems (one page each
  • 1,000 word essay
  • 3,500 word short storie
  • First chapter of completed books – up to 20 pages – (fiction/nonfiction

Entrants whose pieces are selected will receive five cents per word and a copy of the anthology, with a minimum of $10.00 per piece.

Entries must be received by 12:00pm August 15, 2010, so mail early!
