Course Information: Magazine Writing studies with scope, influence, and responsibilities of the magazine as a cultural and social force. Students will learn the skills to write a magazine article and query publications to place an article in the desired market. This course is writing intensive.
 
Instructor: Christine Granados is the author of six books, including Brides and Sinners in El Chuco as well as biographies for young adults. She has published essays in Texas Monthly and Texas Observer, has worked as a journalist for several newspapers and was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters in 2014. Her latest work appeared in the book NewBorder Anthology published by Texas A&M University in 2014.
