Rhetoric Askew Quarterly Literary Journal

Rhetoric Askew Quarterly Literary Journal

The amount of interest in the Anthology Askew project humbled and inspired us at Rhetoric Askew. To continue our support of the author and artist community we are thrilled to announce the launch of RA – the Quarterly. The first issue will drop in the spring, so what better way to celebrate than exploring the theme Love is in the Air.

But…because we are Askew we are looking for more than the standard romance. We want to read about love Askew or not quite what the reader expects.

Strict Romance ala Nicholas Sparks will be considered too, but we are hoping for things that aren’t so predictable to intermingle on the pages of RA – the Quarterly. The bond between human and pet, love for family, crimes of passion, love gone wrong… You get the idea. We really like things that take unexpected turns. Submissions are now open.

Open call for Love is in the Air theme will close January 27, 2017.

You may submit 1 short story (5K words), or up to two micro stories (2.5K), or up to four pieces of flash fiction (800), or up to 5 poems (40 lines) per entry.

Get set. Write.
