Short story – 2012 words or less

Entries may be submitted beginning February 25, 2012 with deadline of March 24, 2012 - see Official Rules for Submission Information

No gore, pornography, or gratuitous violence

Writing prompts: Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, the Black Dahlia murders, Alcatraz, caution tape, chalk outline.

Be inspired! Don't be afraid to "think outside the box"! Prompts have been provided as a tool to aid in the writing process and should not be considered a subject requirement, only writing within the specified topic or theme is required.

Entry Fees: 
Members: $5.00 per entry (limit three entries per contest per member)
Non-Members: $7.00 per entry (limit three entries per contest per non-member)
Winners will receive a monetary prize.
