SHINE brightly: Contentment

Posted by Sally Clark on Wednesday, June 3, 2015
SHINE brightly: Contentment

SHINE brightly is a monthly Christian magazine for young girls (9-14). The next theme is “contentment.” Commercial Christmas language is all about what we want and what we receive. This holiday season we want to reflect on the blessings we’ve been given and find ways to be content with what we have—because out of a joyful, thankful heart comes an attitude of service!

Word length: 700-900 for fiction; 200-800 words for nonfiction. Buys First Serial Rights.

Payment: Prose pays up to $35/story, and poetry pays up to $15/poem. The magazine has little need for poetry right now.

Submissions will close July 1, 2015 for the issue the company is publishing in December 2015.
