SHINE brightly magazine

Shine brightly is a magazine for girls ages 9 to 14. It is published by GEMS Girls' Clubs (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) an international ministry that starts Bible-based, all-girl club programs in churches and Christian organizations. The goal of GEMS is to help bring girls into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

They are looking for stories, articles, interviews, quizzes, poems, games, puzzles, crafts, and recipes that are fresh, present the Christian life realistically, and cause young readers to see how Christian beliefs apply to their daily lives.

Fiction: 700 to 900 words. Nonfiction: 200 to 800 words. Also poetry, games, and puzzles.

Issue: March 2015
Deadline:
September 29, 2014
Theme: Send me! Talking about Jesus with the Needy
Topic: Be Yourself
Part of being a daughter of the King is living out God’s purpose in our lives. In discovering this, girls may experience disappointment and jealousy, but who God created them to be is uniquely beautiful. This issue will help girls embrace who God created them to be and help them live a joy-filled life.
