The Narrative iStory Contest

The Narrative iStory Contest

To celebrate our new look, Narrative is hosting an iStory contest, and we’re thrilled to have you join us.

What’s an iStory? An iStory is an original Narrative feature that accomplishes a lot, with no frills (much like our new look). It is a short, dramatic narrative—fiction or nonfiction—of no more than 150 words. (At this length the piece offers a quick, strong read on smartphones and via our iOS or Android apps.) What makes a great iStory? We look for inspired, timeless iStories that are entertaining, informing, or shocking, and, most of all, speak to the heart of things.

Read sample stories on our web site. Contest deadline is October 2, 2014. Prizes are $250, $150, and $100. The contest is free to enter.
