Topic: Appreciation for those who have fought for our county or how you have instilled one positive aspect about our country in your children or have made the vagueness of "patriotism" real to your kids.
 
Audience: Parents with children in the home (these need to be practical, hands-on articles that other parents can immediately try).
Word Count: 50 to 250 words
Rights: First nonexclusive rights
Payment: on acceptance / $50
Due date: September 15, 2015
Byline: Yes — whether in print or online.
 
Submission: Each article must be directed at only one age group. Depending on which age group you are writing about, here is how your article should be submitted: Early.Years@fotf.org (for parents of 0- to 3-year-olds), Discovery.Time@fotf.org (for parents of 4- to7-year-olds); or Tween.Ages@fotf.org (for parents of 8- to 12-year-olds) and put "Attn: Our Country'" in the subject line.
