Thriving Family, Sept. issue

Posted by Sally Clark on Saturday, March 13, 2010 Under: Christian Print Magazine

For their September magazine, Thriving Family is looking for methods to teach children to share their faith. For the tween stages, they’d like to focus more on kids demonstrating (rather than defining) their faith to non-Christian friends. Showing rather than telling, living rather than preaching… They are looking for practical, authentic ways to help kids represent Christ in their daily lives.

Each article (true-life narrative) must be written to parents of pre-teen/tween children (
8- to -12
-year-olds). Articles must be written in first person and must have immediate and practical applications for the reader. Please no third-person perspectives this time. Submit to Vance Fry @ vance.fry@fotf.org

Topic: Tween Evangelism

Summary: In what ways have you taught your child to demonstrate their faith to their non-Christian friends? Or in what ways has your child independently demonstrated the love of Christ to their friends?

What other unique ideas do you have regarding evangelism for tweens?

Department: Family Stages

Due date: April 5th (completed manuscript)

Payment: $50 on acceptance

Rights:  First non-exclusive

Word count: 50-200 words

Tentative publication: September 2010
