Two Opportunities from Thriving Family Magazine
http://www.thrivingfamily.com/extra/call-for-submissions

Summer Calendar: We want to help children engage with other cultures around the world. Choose a country in Europe or the Middle East or select one of the following countries: Australia, Mexico or Canada. Find activities related to these countries that will help children learn more about that culture. Tie it to a Scripture verse in a way that points children to God and helps them learn more about some aspect -games, foods, traditions, missions or something else — related to that country or culture.

Word Count: 40-60 words for the calendar entry (see last year's calendar at
http://www.thrivingfamily.com/Features/Magazine/2011/faith-on-the-go-june-activity-calendar.aspx).

Payment: $25 per three activities, on acceptance

Date Due: November 14, 2012

Please submit your articles to Web.Features@fotf.org and put "Attn: Megan" in the subject line. Note: you must include the subject line as it appears here or the submission will not read the appropriate editor for consideration

Family Devotions on the Go. These devotions will be used in May and July.

Activity that can be done with no preparation. Not just, "think about," "imagine," "ask," or "talk about"—something that requires movement or a mental challenge.
Word Count: 150 words per devotion

Payment: $50 per devotion, on acceptance

Due date: Nov. 27, 2012

Audience: Parents with young children. The concepts should be easy for 5- to 8-year-olds to understand.

If interested, please respond to Web.Features@fotf.org and put "Attn: Troy – Summer Devotions" in the subject line. Note: You must include the subject line as it appears here or the submission will not reach the appropriate editor for consideration.)
