Windhover Call for Papers

The Windhover Writers’ Festival is hosted by the literary journal Windhover at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Each February the festival brings in featured presenters who give readings and lead workshops.

Windhover Writers’ Festival invites writers of creative nonfiction, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry to submit a selection of their work to be considered for presentation at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor’s 2017 Windhover Writers’ Festival, held February 15-17. Selections should not exceed fifteen minutes of reading. Please include with your selection a third-person biography of fewer than 100 words.

We also invite artists, scholars, teachers, or students of creative writing to submit 300-500 word abstracts for paper presentations on the role of faith in the artist’s life or work, critiques of contemporary faith-inspired artists, or any other relevant topic.

Deadline: Proposals will be considered through November 16.
