Writers Digest 2016 Poets Market Guide
Robert Lee Brewer, editor and compiler of The Poet’s Market (Writer’s Digest Books), is now seeking submissions for the 2016 edition. He would like to receive queries and pitches for how-to articles on the craft of poetry.
Specifically, he would like topics on:
1. The mechanics of poetry: writing poetry, revising, rhythm and meter, etc.
2. The business of poetry: submitting to editors, publishing poetry in print or online, etc.
3. Promotion of poetry: sharing with readers, reading to readers, networking with fans, authors, and publishers, etc.
He is also open to other ideas. He will not accept interview pieces. Remember: you are pitching up to 3 article ideas, not submitting a finished article. Pitches only.
Payment: Pay rates will be discussed individually with writers whose pitches are accepted.
Submission period ends October 15, 2014.
