Tea poetry - poetry about tea, savouring tea, your favourite teacup or having tea with friends - is a lovely way to express one's self. Earlene Grey and The Tea Poetry Society of America is proud to present Tea Poetry 2010, the second annual tea poetry contest. Everyone has at least one poem in them somewhere. We invite you to write your tea poems down, if you haven't already, and submit them to Tea Poetry 2010.
An independent panel of professionals from within the tea, literary and publishing industries, will judge all submitted works anonymously. You are welcome to submit as many poems as you wish and join this small but ever growing community of tea poetry enthusiasts.
Tea Poetry 2010 beings June 1, 2010, and all submissions must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2010. You have plent of time to find the inspiration that rises from a finely brewed cup of tea and put that inspiration to paper.
Entrance fee is $10 per poem. First Place recipient will have his or her winning poem matted and illustrated with original artwork by artist Melisssa Gannon. The illustrations will be designed specifically for the winning poem. This will be an original work of art and not a print!
